The Packers have lost again and now I’m definitely feeling the pain for Favre. He’s got Javon Walker, Robert Ferguson, and Ahman Green all out with injuries, and besides Donald Driver, he’s got no one to throw to on offense. The pressure on him is really starting to show as well. The game against the Bengals you could see his wanting to make something happen, hence the 5 INT’s.
On the last play of the game when he faked the spike to stop the clock, his receivers had already given up. After that play, he was just on the ground on his knees. It is sad to see the hero of the Packers in the last 14 years take such a hard fall from the top.
Even though his statistics put him within the top 10 QB’s in the league, the teams’ record speaks for itself (their record is now 1-6).
He’s put all 53 players on his back and he just can’t hold up the team without any help. If they don’t get close to a .500 season, I say he throws in the towel. No need to pull a Dan Marino and stick around with a team that doesn’t have the talent.
