I’ve got one thing to do, and the whole day to do it. Too bad it looks as if I’m not going to muster up the determination to it.
Sadly, ‘it’ is my homework. What is even sadder is all I have to do for my homework is type in a few words pertaining to ‘The 5th Amendment’ or the ‘death penalty’, click the mouse a few times, and hit print. Too bad that Google search toolbar seems so far away, or rather my brain is much farther away from wrapping itself around making a debate speech ready by tomorrow. Yep, all my school peers have been slaving away, working diligently on their project whilst (haha, I got my medieval reference for the day) I lay around in study halls and at home doing nada. I think I’m good enough at adlibbing; I might be able to just wing my debate and get an A.
I’m more worried about what I should wear for my debate. Should I go with the All-American tie, with a business looking shirt? Or be relatable to my crowd and go with regular, everyday attire?
Maybe my problem could be solved by doing what real politicians do: let people write your speech for you! Ahh, brilliant me…how could I not think of this sooner? All I have to be good at is lying, and ta-da, I get an A.
If anyone feels the need to write a debate speech for me, go ahead. Do it in the spirit of American politics!
