I would agree that most technology is awesome. But not all of it is so awesome. For example, the new (well, not new, just more popular) 'ear piece' which you can purchase for your cellphone, is not so awesome.
I was walking downtown today when a biker rode by me. And usually, when someone is smiling directly at me and making direct eye-contact, I generally think they are paying attention to me — so when he said this profound statement: "I know it's not because I'm not white." I was dumbfounded. Actually, more than dumbfounded, I was downright perplexed.
So I did what any normal human being would, and smiled back with a 'I feel sorry that you're fresh out of the looney-bin' look — to tell the truth, I was surprised he dressed himself that morning with that kind of profound statement towards me.
But when my eyes followed him while he rode by me, I noticed a little blue ear-piece protruding from his head, and a sudden revelation hit me: He wasn't talking to me. But now that I think about it…why was he talking about not being white? What a weirdo.
This is why these ear-pieces aren't awesome. They confuse me.
