Some days everything goes right. Everything.
So, as I mentioned earlier, today I went back to my photography class. Besides the boring romp through the syllabus and answering basic questions about what to expect from the class, I got to sit down with my teacher after everyone left and look at a few of my pictures that I have taken over the summer. I wish I would have had all of them with me on my external hard drive, but I only could show him the ones that were on my flickr page.
To my somewhat surprise he was floored with the images…I mean, half of me was expecting to have the majority of the images scrutinized and criticized but each and every one of them was met with praise by him. I don’t think I stopped smiling the whole time I talked to him.
What’s even better is that for the end of the class project we are building a book based on a theme of photographs and my teacher told me I could use my pictures from the summer to construct a theme to base the book on.
I don’t think I could have had a better class today.
And then, when I got home, I checked my email. The subject read: “Congrats, you’ve been featured.”
I knew immediately what it was for.
I have been a member of Vazaar.com for about half a year now. Vazaar is a photography website that has members from all over the world who contribute images to correlate with weekly themes. One of my pictures finally got featured on the homepage. And now I am waiting for some sort of traffic boost to happen to my flickr page because that is the link I have under my picture.
Right now I’m just really excited that not just friends and family are enjoying my photography but the general public as well.
Today I can boast that Murphy’s Law was not in affect. In fact, the opposite took place.

That’s awesome dude.. You’re almost famous now.
And you know the guy that is almost famous which makes you mostly almost famous.
