First days of school are always surprising to me. I always expect them to be different in some way, but mostly the first days of school are the same as any other day.
Today I started my first day at Sun Prairie. I had myself all worked up that it was going to be really different from my old school — it wasn’t. I guess I found out that teenagers are relatively the same no matter where I go. Even though I didn’t know anyone I felt like I belonged there; I felt like I had been going there for a year at least and that everyone else was new and not me.
I know some people have hard times transitioning to different schools, but I don’t think it’s going to be hard for me. Then again, I’ve only been there for one day and the only people who were at the school were new students and Freshmen. I really wanted to find a ton of Seniors and get a “Stupid Freshmen” chant going, but, alas, I couldn’t find any other Seniors.
Tomorrow will probably be a lot different considering that 3x’s as many students will be in hallways.
